A-Z of Me, Me, Me

I’ve seen a few of these going around on other blogs I follow recently.

I really love reading them. It’s like a tiny little snapshot into the person behind the blog. Little things you might not know, even if you know them personally. I’m old enough to remember when this kind of thing used to fly around on email and I used to like reading them then. Finding out little things like what my colleagues favourite drink was and what time they got up in the morning.

So, I apologise if you really don’t care, there are more posts on pretty frocks coming I promise! Feel free to steal it, put it on your own blog and leave a link in the comments so I can come and be nosey about your life too!

A-Age:   32
B-Bed size: King Size. Plenty of roll room please!
C-Chore that you hate: Washing up. It plays havok with my nails and skin.
D-Dogs:  I love dogs but don’t have any as I’m away too much. My Parents always seem to have a minimum of 2 I can go and snuggle. Currently these 2, called Bonnie & Clyde.
E-Essential start to your day: Caffeine. I’m not a big caffeinated drink lover throughout the day. But first thing in the morning it’s a must. As a teenager my Mum bought me tea in bed. Now Mr Chick brings coffee. I can barely open my eyes otherwise!
F-Favourite Colour: Green. I love green.
G-Gold or silver: I like silver, or white gold.
H-Height:  I am 5’4.5″. Though disturbingly I attempted to measure myself recently and I appeared to be 5’3.75″ I might be shrinking

I-Instruments you play: I played the recorder, Clarinet and Cornet (like a small trumpet) before I turned into a moody teenager and gave them all up. I wasn’t very good.
J-Job title: Supreme ruler of my own little world. It’s too long for business cards though.
K-Kids: Nope.
L-Live: Norwich
M-Mothers name: Caroline, it’s also my middle name
N-Nicknames: Not to my knowledge, I imagine people call me all kinds of things when I’m not listening.
O-Overnight hospital stays: Nope. Only on night shifts as a Nurse.
P-Pet peeves: Apart from Vanity Sizing, over pricing in Charity Shops and a lack of ways to donate? Oh there’s loads. I hate the sense of entitlement people seem to have to things.  I hate bad customer service. I hate X Factor and Britains Got Talent. I hate the Daily Mail and I hate mornings. I’m pretty grumpy really.
Q-Quote from a movie: Erm, I’m not good at remembering quotes and things, even from my favourite films! All I can think of now is “Luke, I am your Father” hardly inspirational!
R-Right or left handed: Right, how boring.
S-Siblings: A younger sister.
T-Time you wake up: Wake up around 7:30am. It takes me at least an hour to actually get out of bed though.
U-Underwear: Um, yes? What does this mean? Triumph bras and M&S pants generally.
V-Vegetable you hate: Tomatos, unless cooked in a sauce.
W-What makes you run late: I’m normally DEAD on time. Rarely late or early. Times I’ve been late it’s normally because I’ve forgotten something vital and had to go home for it.
X-X rays you’ve had: Chest and sinuses when I was younger. I’m asthmatic and have lots of allergies so I still get problems with my sinuses.
Y-Yummy food that you make: EVERYTHING I make is yummy. This Cranberrry & Mulled Wine stew is partiuclarly so, however.
Z-Zoo animal: Black Panther. I saw one on a zoo trip when I was a kid and was obsessed. I even bought a statuette. They’re elegant and sleek, yet powerful and slightly intimidating. I’ve sort of always wished I was like that, but I think I’m a bit more like a Labrador really, friendly and loyal, but lazy with a tendency to put on weight.

  1. I love these posts, mostly because I’m very nosy!

  2. I love these posts too, the only one I’ve even done like that, it IS interesting! Thanks!

  3. I love these too, and I’ve done one!

  4. I love your answers (that stew looks delicious). I nearly did one of those on my blog, then felt it was too personal – my blog’s about things I’m interested in, not me – and deleted it. International Woman of Mystery, that’s me.

See, I would have thought you were more a, “Susan, I’ve got the leopard!” quote person. Yes. If I put you in a film, it probably would be something like Bringing Up Baby…

  5. I agree with Steph, I’m nosy so these are very fun. I want to snuggle your parents’ dogs, too!

  6. OOh love this – think I might have to do one!! And that stew looks lovely- where is the recipe from? x

  8. Always enjoy your blogs hun, love the last comment about you being more like a labrador than a panther, i know how you feel – more daffy red setter than an elegant tiger 🙂 xx

  9. I love these posts! Your parent’s pooches are adorable but I can’t believe you don’t like raw tomatoes, that’s strange. x

  10. You are so right about tomatoes. So right.

    1. Oh yes. Raw tomatoes – blee! Cooked – mmmm.
