Floral Frocks, Afternoon Teas (and a sneaky giveaway)

I hope you’ve all been enjoying the spring sunshine?

I don’t know if the sun is still shining today, as I wrote this yesterday and scheduled it, so this is like some kind of time travel, like I’m speaking to my future self, spooky.

I was in Kent visiting my family, and as Activity Superstore had offered to send me out one of their Afternoon Tea vouchers to try for myself I decided to make the most of my little trip away and book me and Mr Chick in for a treat in one of the venues in Sevenoaks. I haven’t been to Sevenoaks for YEARS. I grew up in the area, but haven’t had reason to go back. It’s not a big place, bigger than a village smaller than a town, a tillage maybe? Just in case you need any extra famous Sevenoaks facts, 6 of its Oaks blew down in the 1987 storms, and were replanted, then torn down on the anniversary years later. So there you go.

I actually have 4 Afternoon Tea for 2 vouchers to giveaway later, but first I’m going to make you look at photos of me enjoying the spring sunshine. As the sun is out I felt it was time to break out a floral dress I got a while ago, but hadn’t had chance to wear. It’s a digital print called shattered rose from Wolf & Whistle, it’s quite short, but feels amazing to wear in the Spring sunshine. All floaty and picnicky. I made a somewhat half hearted attempt at backcombing my hair, inspired by the Lena Hoschek shoot I posted the other day, but I will try harder in future and then finished it off with floral hair grips from my sponsor Neas Stitching as they were conveniently a matching yellow floral.

A perfect sunny Afternoon Tea Outfit.

The afternoon tea was nice and relaxing, though we were inside away from the sunshine. A traditional Afternoon Tea of tea, cakes, sandwiches and scones with cream and jam. We also had the very pleasant addition of a glass of Champagne with ours, because, well, why not?

An attempt was also made to answer that most important of questions. Jam first or cream first? Which camp are you in? (I vote cream first and a little dollop of jam on top)

Now, on with the important bit, where you get to have afternoon tea too!

I have 4 Traditional Afternoon Tea Vouchers from Activity Superstore to giveaway. Once you have your voucher you can pick from a list of venues to find one near you, and then you just ring up and book. Easy peasy. I think this sort of thing makes a lovely gift as people can pick the time and place of their relaxing treat, maybe mixing it in with another trip away, like I did.

If you’d like to win then just follow the instructions on the Rafflecopter widget! As ever I’ve added a variety of entry options, but you can do as many or as few as you like, and if you’re already following me or Activity Superstore on Facebook or Twitter then remember those are bonus entries, just click the button and you’re in!
