Wedding season is most definitely upon us.
I say this with confidence as walking through town on Saturday night involved navigating large groups of girls in matching neon leg warmers and boys in matching T Shirts. Once the Hen and Stag parties are out the wedding invitations start flooding in.
Whilst a hat is the traditional option for a wedding, something like a fascinator is an increasingly popular choice for wedding guests. Plus you can keep it in all night and you won’t feel like a muppet dancing in a hat at midnight because you have hat hair.
Fascinators can be so much more than a bunch of feathers stuck to a hairband. A couple of weeks ago I wore this Cherry trimmed creation to a wedding, but I’ve been off searching for the best of the rest out there on the big wide web. Some big, some bold, and all beautiful.

Abandon feathers and crystals and adorn your hair with flowers. This one is unusual as it’s carnations. Orchids are another lovely choice.

And finally, if you really want to stand out, they won’t miss you in this one. I, personally, would advise wearing a slightly more covered up outfit to a wedding though. It’s hard to outshine a Woman in a Wedding dress, but nipple pasties are probably one of the guaranteed ways to do it.

Love fascinators! They are incredibly hard to find here in Switzerland, the land of super-conservative. But I love them. The first is my absolute favorite – gorgeous!
There’s some lovely fascinators in that selection. I prefer hats myself, but small ones that sit *on* your head rather than fitting around it (no sizing required). I get all of mine from Emma at Sakura Designs as her stuff is wonderful 🙂
I love fascinators! I actually made my own with a veil for my wedding, but ended up wearing it to the present-opening the day after my wedding.
I have only got one wedding to go to this year – my own! This hasn’t stopped me trying on fascinators and pill box hats with feathers and birdcage veils though – so much fun! x
no weddings to go to this year (2 last year though and they were a blast), but I love to dress up and wear little headpieces/hats anyways. (I’m an aries and supposedly we all love stuff on our heads. anyone else have an opinion?)
I love these, but actually the last one is my favorite even though I personally would def. wear more than pasties to a wedding since I was told it was rude to take attention away from the bride so unless she is totally topless…
I love fascinators. I have qquite a few, but literally no weddings to go to :(. I would love the opportunity to wear them more.

I don’t have any weddings to go to this year but instead I am going to go to ladies day at the races, partly because it seems like such a good opportunity to get myself a fascinator. I have seen so many lovely ones, thanks for sharing these (and making the choice even more difficult)
