Friday Frock Love: Winter Warmers

Just because the weather is chilly doesn’t mean it’s time to move into trousers and stay there till Spring.

Lengthen the sleeves, add some thick stockings, and, if it’s really cold, a vest and slip and dresses are still the one stop easy way to get dressed in the morning even when the weather is freezing.

Today’s Friday Frock Love has the pick of some nice warm frocks, complete with sleeves and sensible hemlines, available around the interweb.

Belted Vixen Dress Tara Starlet – £68

Stretch Fabric and a side zip mean this is a full on tight wiggle dress, yet sensible styling means it’s smart enough for work.

Harriet Dress Cath Kidston – £48.75

A relaxed and flattering style from the new Biba range at House of Fraser.

  1. The Jackie dress is lovely.A great colour and style and it is made to measure. Perhaps one for the Christmas list.

I actually think I want all of them. I confess I did wear a pair of trousers this week, and not only did I feel like a frump, I looked like one as well LOL! And they made my tummy look rounder than it is. A friend of mine was sporting tweed trousers and very woolly tights last Sunday, but alas I don’t have the legs for that. I have got to find some woolly tights though!!

Sorry, my comment should have read ‘shorts’ not ‘trousers’..I think I need a lay down 😉

  4. I love Tara Starlet’s stuff, but they don’t go up to my size. (Curse you, thick waist!) That Jackie dress is fab.

The Jackie dress is definitely a winner, such a beautiful collar and unusual colour x
