Well, I’ve had a lovely break!
The magic of scheduled posts enabled me to head off down to Kent last week to visit my new nephew, help my parents move house and pay a short visit to our woodland getaway caravan. The caravan has been largely de-spidered. The bedroom has been painted white and the frame from a sofa bed installed in it, meaning we can get a decent nights sleep. This is the only way to do camping…
Anyway, on with the post. I thought I’d share with you one of the hidden benefits of taking outfit photos.
Yesterday, on the last day of our little holiday, we decided to head into town for a few drinks. The weather having turned slightly autumnal again it seemed ideal for one of my favourite dresses, which is a 70s does 30s knitted dress. The dress is slightly see through, meaning it requires layers of petticoats and vests underneath and is therefore perfect for slightly chilly days.

All well and good. Pictures of me prancing in the street like an idiot are par for the course.
Except if I hadn’t taken outfit photos yesterday I would have happily wandered round the shops all day looking like this….
Yep, I got my slip caught up and those are indeed my stocking tops you can see.
How very ladylike of me.
I’m fairly sure there’s a moral here somewhere. It’s probably “buy a white suspender belt”, but I like to think it’s “take more outfit photos lest you unwittingly show the world your underwear”
Of course, I’ve now posted it on the interweb for all the world to see, so I suspect I have only rescued a limited amount of my already small stock of dignity. However, should my tale stop someone else wandering round the town with their pants out then my task here is done.

Ohhh nooo! See, I thought this was going to be “outfit posts are great cos I was worried my bum looked big in my white flares but then you lot said it looked rather perky, so now I’m prancing about in my flares 24/7, slapping my bum like Brett Anderson on speed.”
Ah well. I like your blog because you’re willing to admit to your wardrobe malfunctions. Many bloggers won’t. And that makes your wardrobe posts fun (I generally find blog outfit posts terribly tedious & I was planning on doing a spoof one where I basically wear the same thing everyday and write 500 words on why I changed my cardigan!).
No, I don’t care what anyone says I look horrendous in white flares, though I might hop around slapping my bum a bit just for fun!
I have to admit to my wardrobe malfunctions, I would hate to disappoint anyone who met me in person with the illusion I was in someway elegant or ladylike!

And in regard to the lack of old receipts it’s purely because the bag is new, my handbags are normally full of crap! Like today’s bus trip with my daughter has meant it’s stuffed full of juice bottles, sweets. baby wipes, changes of clothes, a pre-school newsletter and a half eaten scone she made at pre-school. Not so organised now and we’ve only come to Thorpe Marriott!! xx
Love it! I’ve totally caught wardrobe malfunctions when taking outfit photos. Shirt or sweater buttoned up incorrectly like I was a 3-year-old who was still learning how to button up properly, stockings completely askew, you name it. We keep ourselves on track that way… well, only if we look at the photos right away. lol
Oopsie! I think everyone has wardrobe malfunction now and then – the only way to protect oneself is to use mirrors and have people photograph one as regularly as possible.
That is a super dress though, lovely for inbetween seasons.

This kind of thing happens to me all the time! my skirt attaching itself to my satchel with static electricity is a perticular favourite. Great dress by the way!

My wrap dress pulled open at the back halfway up one of Bath’s busiest roads. Boy was I glad of my half-slip that day.
