Retro Chick Presents: Make Up Tutorial – Smoky Eyes

I promised you make up tutorial videos in honour of Valentines, and make up tutorials I have delivered.

On Thursday you got an untouchable red lipped, retro queen, and today, well, today you get the ultimate seductress.

Dark smoky eyes are my go to look for a night out. I know I don’t have to worry about smudging my lipstick and the more your make up smudges the better it looks. That’s what makes this look so sexy, you don’t have to worry about messing it up. This look enhances the eyes and is just made for sultry heavy lidded stares across a crowded bar.

Some people have said they’ve experienced some sound problems with the videos. I’ve tried to improve the volume of my voice by the cunning expedient of sitting closer and speaking up. If that doesn’t work I have a microphone and I could narrate future videos, but I, personally prefer the look of speaking on camera, let me know what you think! The issue with my voice going out of sync appears to be happening between my video editing software and publishing the final product. I shall play around now I’ve got some time and hopefully find a solution for future videos, I hope it doesn’t bother you too much, all feedback is welcome!

If you enjoy the videos you can subscribe to my You Tube Channel to be the first to know when new videos go up.

So without further ado…..

Note: If you subscribe by email you will need to visit my site, or the Retro Chick Presents You Tube Channel to view the video

  2. I want to watch these but my stupid computer is having issues and only playing videos 3 seconds at a time -lol.

  3. Smoking Gemma!!!

I like the look and as I am a heavy eyeliner wearer I think that I am going to have a go.
I have most of the similar shades, I have always been a bit shy of a dark contour like that but you made it seem simple and the finished look is good.

  4. Aw, you’re doing makeup tutorials – that’s great! I like your approach to the production, and that you have one, not many do! Very stylised, as expected.

I love a smokey eye but my eyes are deeper set and it’s tough not to look like I’ve taken a few punches! Your technique is a lot more wearable than some though so I may try it again…

  5. Great tutorial. I’ve tried the smokey eye look so many times and never succeeded, so I can’t wait to try this.
