Remember August?
No, me either, it seems impossibly long ago. Well, back in August I wore a purple vintage dress to Goodwood that I thought might look better with a wider belt. I think I was right.

I think that a slightly wider belt nips the waist in more and gives my torso a little more shape. I’m still not convinced it’s the most flattering dress I own, but it is comfortable and being made from a fine wool it’s nice and warm too!
I really don’t get to wear these shoes often enough either. They’re the ones I got as part of the competition with Sarenza last year and I really like the purple and grey colours and the unusual bendy heel, but it does limit what I can wear them with!
I wore this out for lunch at the weekend, but sad to say my curls didn’t last long in the damp air.
I’m considering resorting to a perm as I’m getting a bit frustrated by leaving the house with pretty curls and arriving at my destination looking like Farrah Fawcett after she’s taken part in the world backward hedge crawling championships. Any advice from vintage ladies with perms on what sort of perm I need in order to avoid looking like a poodle would be greatly appreciated!
This was also the outfit I was wearing (with a coat over the top and a box handbag) when 2 eight year old girls in matching SuperDry jackets called me a red headed freak on my way home. You can, or course, catch up on all the subsequent ranting about the “youth of today” on my Facebook page!
