Mickey Mouse Meets The Lady of the Manor

You may have noticed there was no post from me yesterday….

The reason was that I’m currently in Kent, and yesterday I spent the day in Tunbridge Wells at the Steam Railway with Lady K Loves shooting some new items for Autumn Winter. It was a fantastic day and the initial shots look amazing. I have a load of behind the scenes video that I’m going to edit over the next few days to give you a sneak preview of the shoot and the collection, before it goes live on the website in September.

For the long journey home from Kent this afternoon I want something comfortable, so a (very) old Mickey & Minne Mouse T Shirt and a pencil skirt with slight stretch offered the requisite comfort with a dash of smartness. I was rather taken with the juxtaposition of the Micky Mouse T Shirt and smart looking pencil skirt so I decided to play it up a bit more by wearing my pearls.

I had planned to take a couple of photos outside, but it’s absolutely bucketing with rain, so I went for posing at the bottom of my Parents stairs instead, but unfortunately the lights not that great inside!

A pencil skirt might seem like an odd choice to travel in, but the truth is I very rarely travel in jeans as I find them really uncomfortably and restrictive to sit down in for any length of time. I’ve never really understood the reputation of jeans as a comfortable wardrobe item, I’m far more comfortable in skirts!

❤ T Shirt - eBay (about 9 years ago!) ❤ Belt - Rosa Rosa Retro ❤ Skirt - Lady K Loves ❤
❤ Shoes - New Look via a Charity Shop ❤ Pearl Earrings - eBay ❤ Pearl Necklace - Antique Shop ❤

I also went for flicky eyeliner this morning. The last time I mentioned that I got asked for close up photos, so here’s some of me pulling an incredibly serious face. It’s very difficult to take photos of your own eyes….

This weekend I shall be off to a friends Anniversary party where there will be Football and Pimms.

I hope you all have equally lovely weekend plans!
