Retro Chick Reviews: Style Me Vintage – Step by Step Guides to Vintage Hair Styles
November 11, 2010The Dress That Makes Me Feel Like a Princess
November 15, 2010This week I found myself with a dilemma.
What does one wear to be on the radio?
In theory it doesn’t really matter. In practice I’m sure we all know that of course it matters. The right outfit and hair can make you feel far more confident, and besides, I was going on to talk about aĀ vintage hair styling event and the BBC Radio Norfolk Studios have a web cam.
It was my 5th Wedding Anniversary on Friday, so straight after the recording I had to head off to the Train Station to be whisked away to Cambridge for the night, meaning I also needed an outfit practical enough to travel in.
Anyway, in the end I went for this:
ā¤ Beret - eBay ā¤ Jumper - Primark ā¤
ā¤ Brooch & Skirt - Vintage ā¤ Shoes - Clarks via eBay ā¤
And this is how it looked on the web cam:
I know, why did I bother, right?
It was all to promote a vintage hair styling evening at Flint on Friday 26th November, so you can find out all the details about that my visiting the Facebook event page.
Anyway, if you’d like to hear the interview with me, Flamingo Amy and Conor from Flint Hair then I have helpfully clipped out the music for you, just press play!

You look so foxy!
I love your outfit!!! :)))
Congrats on the radio gig, you look awesome!
Looking grand lady. That’s the sort of thing I wear to work every day in the winter. I think it helps to feel good even when no one can see you (or see you teeeny weeny on a web cam)… to the extent I think it makes me sound different!

It’s that skirt again! I love it! I love your hair too. I agree that although no one can see you on the radio, YOU know what you are wearing and it sometimes helps to feel the part!
I adore that vintage skirt, it’s lovely.
Bon Anniversaire! You looked a treat š
